6. Questions to Ask the Interviewer
At the end of the interview be prepared for the inevitable
question, “Do you have any questions to ask me?”
Prepare some questions before the interview and refer to your list you have to.
Make sure the interviewer did not cover them during the interview. Ask about
typical duties, your responsibilities, training or orientation programs, etc…
Here are some sample questions you may ask.

What are the opportunities for personal growth?

Identify typical career paths based on past records. What is the realistic time
frame for advancement?

How is an employee evaluated and promoted?

What is the retention rate of people in the position for which I am
interviewing?

If I were to get the job, what would the duties be?

What are the hours? Is there any flexibility in hours? Is there a possibility
of working overtime?

Is there any travel involved?

How many people will I be working with and whom will I be directly reporting
to?

Is there a dress code?

Is safety equipment required, and if so, do I supply my own?

Can you tell me about your initial and future training programs? Do you finance
courses?

What are the challenging facets of the job?

What are the company’s plans for future growth?

What industry trends will occur in this company?

What makes your firm different from its competitors?

Is it company policy to promote form within? Can you tell me the work history
of your top management?

What kind of career opportunities are currently available for may diploma and
skills?
