North Bay with the possibility of some travel to Toronto, Ontario

Working Hours:
The Client’s normal working hours are 7.25 hours per day, normal working hours: 8.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.

Total number of days:
125 Business Days

1. You must submit a comprehensive resume. You resumes should focus on how your previous work experience and knowledge would be relevant to this project.
2. Confirm that you will be available for the duration of the contract.
3. Desired Hourly Rate: Provide your hourly rate in CAD dollars.
4. Corporate Status: Confirm that you are incorporated.
5. Security Screening: Provide your Contractor Security Screening Clearance number. If you do not have the security screening number, confirm that should you become the successful candidate for this project, you agree to undergo the security screening as requested by the client.

Project Background:
Our Client is continuing to build a Performance Measurement and Business intelligence competency centre. This centre will provide a multitude of services; such as:
• Consulting and advisory services to assist IT units to develop balanced scorecards, supporting tools and materials, competencies in performance measurement and business processes to assist in the implementation of performance measurement.
• Provision of an operational environment and competency centre based on existing business intelligence tools (Cognos) to support hosting of business performance data and production of reports.

As a result of the rapid expansion of services being provided for various projects our Client seeks a subject matter expert to assist with data mart development on upcoming BI projects. You will be expected to design, develop, recommend, implement and manage data mart and other changes to the technical BI environment to meet the project deliverables.

The deliverables include:
The Services and Deliverables to be provided will include the following. Work as part of Business Intelligence team to deliver Business Intelligence projects by:
• Developing, recommending, implementing and managing data mart and other changes to the technical BI environment to meet projects
• Developing data extraction, transformation, and data automation with proven methods/techniques using Cognos 8 and Cognos Decision Stream/ Data Manager tools.
• Providing expertise in data and process modelling methodologies, techniques and tools, including working knowledge of metadata structures, repository functions and data dictionaries.
• Providing expertise with database technologies, and query languages.
• Analysis of business data to resolve issues or identify potential improvements to source systems.
• Sharing expertise and knowledge of Cognos tools with other team members.
• Developing and delivering technical documentation to support recommendations on design, development and improvements to existing technologies.

Knowledge Transfer:
You will provide knowledge transfer to other internal team members when required.

Communications and Reporting:
Weekly status reports to be provided to track progress on initiatives.

Billing and Payment Process:
You will be required to complete client's Billing Report along with a copy of the Timesheet(s) by the 3rd business day of the following month. Once the billing details are verified by the client, we will be notified to submit the invoice for payment.

Travel, Meal and Accommodation Expenses:
The Client will only be responsible for travel, meal or accommodation expenses incurred by the consulatant that are pre-approved in writing. We will provide further details on this subject in the next few days.
