Submission Requirements:

  • • Desired Hourly Rate: Provide your hourly rate in CAD dollars.
  • • Corporate Status: Confirm that you are incorporated.
  • • Security Screening: Provide your Contractor Security Screening Clearance number. If you do not have the security screening number, confirm that should you become the successful candidate for this project, you agree to undergo the Level 1 CPIC clearance security screening as requested by the client.

Work Location:
All work will be performed downtown Toronto (Bay Street), Ontario or at other locations as provided by client. Please identify those tasks and activities that can be completed successfully, or are more appropriately completed, outside of this work location.

Working Hours:
The Client’s normal working hours are 7.25 hours per day, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday inclusive.

Background Information:
Our client is preparing to launch a project to move to the corporate solution for Web Content Management (CMS) during 2009-10 for their internet sites. This will include a migration of the content of the current internet web sites to this new CMS solution.

This contract opportunity to determine and define the scope of this project and provide specific, detailed analysis of possible approaches as well as a recommendation, with rationale, of the best possible approach for successful migration and implementation.

Scope of Services and Deliverables:
The Services and Deliverables to be provided by the team will include the following:

a) The initial deliverable will be the development and presentation for approval of a Work Plan to guide this assignment to the successful completion of the deliverables. The Work Plan will include the identification and scheduling of the skilled resources that the client expects us to involve to complete the assignment.

b) A detailed project plan for implementation of the Corporate CMS solution as well as the migration of the existing content on the client’s internet sites that includes:
• Project scope
• A fit/gap report, specific to the client’s use of the in-place CMS and related business processes, which compares the current solution with the corporate solution.
• Approaches to accomplish the project objectives, the pros, cons and assumptions made for those approaches, a recommended approach and the rationale that supports the recommendation.
• The task list associated with the recommended approach
• Skills required to complete the tasks and satisfy the identified roles and responsibilities
• Project roles and responsibilities aligned with the tasks
• Estimated project work effort and timelines
• Estimated budget for the:
- project
- ongoing operations
• Risks and mitigation strategies
• Skills, roles and responsibilities required for on-going operations

c) Presentation of the detailed project plan (as described in (b)) to a senior management and client staff audience (less than 15 people)

d) This assignment will require resources with:
• Experience managing website migration projects in a Web Content Management System environment
• Expertise with a variety of Content Management Systems including Stellent and Active CMS
• Knowledge of Web 2.0 and Social Media trends and tools
• Excellent project management, analytical, communication, and documentation skills

Beyond Scope of Services and Deliverables:
The following activities are NOT within the scope of this Statement of Work:

i) Implementation of the project plan deliverable
ii) Planning for the migration of the ministry intranet site to the corporate solution
iii) Communication or documentation in French (note: the French version of the ministry internet sites is in scope from a planning perspective)
