Scope of Services and Deliverables:
The Services and Deliverables to be provided by you will include the following:
  1. Develops, recommends, implements and manages the technical architecture (hardware, software, database and communications) which will be used for all or specific applications in a large, distributed cross-platform environment
  2. Identify relevant information and the determination of the environment, which will be used for development.
Qualifications:
  1. Expert experience with integrating asymmetric and symmetric key cryptography
  2. Experience in designing and implementing security technology solutions for distributed applications/systems
  3. Knowledge and understanding of industry technical and security standards
  4. Experience in implementing solutions that cross multiple security domains, platforms (mainframe, UNIX, mixed client side environments) and jurisdictions (i.e. SSHA)
  5. Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, SPNEGO, CITRIX, SSL, VPN, HTTPS and has delivered Federated Security Models
  6. Familiarity with the ISO Standards 17799:2005 and 27001:2005;
  7. Understanding of IEEE technical and security standards
  8. Familiarity with the Personal Health Information Protection Act and other applicable privacy legislation, GO-ITS standards
  9. Experienced in developing enterprise architecture artefacts
  10. Experience with MS Visio and architecture solution tools (i.e. RAD)
  11. Development and implementation of technical architectures at the specified experience level
  12. At least three different platforms, operating systems, environments, database technologies, and communications protocols
  13. Middleware and gateways
  14. Performance considerations in different environments
  15. Structured methodologies for the design, development and implementation of applications
  16. Systems analysis and design in large systems environments
  17. The use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools and other software tools such as project management tools
  18. Developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models

Deliverables:
  1. Work will be that of a security systems integrator.
  2. Work closely with Security architect and development team to assess recommendations from project TRA and identify potential responses
  3. Assess, design, recommend and implement technical security solutions to support implementations
  4. Update and create enterprise architecture artefacts as required
  5. Attend architecture oversight committees as required
  6. Provide technical assistance and support to other projects as required
  7. Knowledge transfer to internal staff by creation of extensive documentation
  8. May be assigned to support other ministry architectural initiatives
